WWDC 2009 part 3 – 3rd generation iPhone 3G(S)

Now… they sure are master of delay but there is a lot of things going around the new iPhone 3.0 (software). I won’t write about things that we’re familiar with for some months now but there are some very very nice features coming to us:

• TomTom GPS turn-by-turn software supported
• medical friendly and appreciated 
• a true mobile gaming – PSP like – platform 
• localization (NO SLOVENIA YET! BUUUUUUA!)
• 3.0 will be available on Wednesday, June 17th, worldwide
• find my iPhone and remotely erase data 
• low light and Macro mode support
• video capture with up to 30FPS supported
• voice control supported
• built-in digital compass
• Nike+ supported (at last!)
• hardware encryption supported
• much better battery capacity
• even cheaper!

I guess all the Apple’s g33ks ‘n’ fans are tuned at various live streams at the moment and waiting, drooling, waiting and drooling again around news and upcoming updates from Apple.

Best thigns so far:

• cheaper and refreshed laptop series (available later today – Apple stores are closed at the moment)
• SD integrated (finally!!!)
• new QuickTime is just awesome; like frameless and completely rewritten
• Safari 4.0 will be launched / available later today

 A lot of goodies and improvements in Snow Leopard and a LOT faster and smaller installation comparing to Leopard:

• most apps will be running in 64bit mode
• multi-threading implementation
• super faster Safari browser compared to IE8…
• super faster .jpeg and .pdf managing (opening)
• Mail get EXCHANGE support (yep, it’s a neccessary)

Oh, I’ve been such a lazy ass these days. Ever since returning from Munich I haven’t written much… So we were there, dr. Toft checked my mother’s knee and muscles and gave her a green light for skiing (!). Conclusion? I’ll let you decide

Oh… and btw for all the “doctors” out there saying it’s impossible: get your heads out of your butts than take your M.D’s and wipe your asses with it! And get studying again!

Again, speculations. But, I wouldn’t mention it if it weren’t serious ones. On the 24th of March a new Apple Events is about¹ to happen. What will they bring us? A new MAC pro? Maybe an iPhone? New AppleTV, perhaps?². We’ll just have to wait for a couple of weeks more…

There has to be something in the air, these days… New, great and fresh ideas pouring down in my inbox everyday. Look what I found this time; it’s like a new virtual city, yet to become. It’s in a pre-build faze, so I guess someone is still figuring out if this is something worth building. The real point of this story is, of course in money. Make virutal to make real. It’s not a pyramid system, that I must say. But sure, it helps if you spread the word. It helps us all .

So, are you bored? You into new things?

Today I decided to check myself in the famous Poker card game. I know a thing or two about Poker but have never really played it for real¹. Don’t know why really, but I got especially motivated when I saw, it’s a downloadable program and yes, it’s MAC supported. Yeah. You never know. Maybe there’s a poker star, hiding in me .

Professor Toft Knee Center in Munich

It’s been awhile since I wrote about dr. Jurgen Toft and his Alpha Klinik, so here is a quick summary (older post were written in Slovene). But just before I go there, we have to get updated with the Knee Center. A year ago institution was called Alpha Klinik. Some things went wrong¹ and things went their own way. Profesor Toft opened a new, his own clinic called Knee Center. The clinic is also located in Munich.

My mother had a severe damaged cartilage on her right knee². It didn’t happen through the night but it was a slowly and more and more often, a painful process linked with sport activities; mainly tennis and skiing. Both sports are well know to be knee killers and so my mother wasn’t any exception. Precisely a year ago my mother was almost completely immovable. She couldn’t walk, drive a vehicle or even sit. All she was able to, was lying in pain an waiting for a little miracle to happen. That is, after Slovenian doctors³ said there is nothing there is to be done. It was said (between the words⁴) that the only remaining option was a total knee prothesis…
