iPhone OS 3.0 jail-broken, at last!

Finally it happened. Masters of re-coding over @ dev-team blog just did it again and now we can all be part of the new 3.0 software. I am doing it (escaping from prison), as we speak, so there could be more about it later on. All you guys (and gals) just grab the stuff from the right torrent site, noted @ their HQ!

Now… they sure are master of delay but there is a lot of things going around the new iPhone 3.0 (software). I won’t write about things that we’re familiar with for some months now but there are some very very nice features coming to us:

• TomTom GPS turn-by-turn software supported
• medical friendly and appreciated 
• a true mobile gaming – PSP like – platform 
• localization (NO SLOVENIA YET! BUUUUUUA!)
• 3.0 will be available on Wednesday, June 17th, worldwide
• find my iPhone and remotely erase data 
• low light and Macro mode support
• video capture with up to 30FPS supported
• voice control supported
• built-in digital compass
• Nike+ supported (at last!)
• hardware encryption supported
• much better battery capacity
• even cheaper!

I guess all the Apple’s g33ks ‘n’ fans are tuned at various live streams at the moment and waiting, drooling, waiting and drooling again around news and upcoming updates from Apple.

Best thigns so far:

• cheaper and refreshed laptop series (available later today – Apple stores are closed at the moment)
• SD integrated (finally!!!)
• new QuickTime is just awesome; like frameless and completely rewritten
• Safari 4.0 will be launched / available later today

 A lot of goodies and improvements in Snow Leopard and a LOT faster and smaller installation comparing to Leopard:

• most apps will be running in 64bit mode
• multi-threading implementation
• super faster Safari browser compared to IE8…
• super faster .jpeg and .pdf managing (opening)
• Mail get EXCHANGE support (yep, it’s a neccessary)

So, what really happened to April and May?

A furious hail crashed my car. Burning heat wave caused air conditions malfunctions and I have visited the NTK 2009 conference in Portoroz. Trip back home lasted for almost two hours which is A LOT for our conditions and afcourse the reason for delay was in a car crash. A poor Italian fella went onside and caused a traffic drama in the wors storm this year. Great, just great.

Oh, I’ve been such a lazy ass these days. Ever since returning from Munich I haven’t written much… So we were there, dr. Toft checked my mother’s knee and muscles and gave her a green light for skiing (!). Conclusion? I’ll let you decide

Oh… and btw for all the “doctors” out there saying it’s impossible: get your heads out of your butts than take your M.D’s and wipe your asses with it! And get studying again!

One of the best Slovenian IPSC shooting clubs ever, was given their own web domain and a new, very much refreshed web page. Shooting Club Ljubljana¹ is for now still localized just in Slovenian language but I have an open project to make it multilangual with English and Croatian-Bosnian-Serbian language. And so there’s another X under my references table. Nice.

So we’re back! Two strenuous days, 1200km with the X5 and 6 halls with over 200 exhibitors! We returned back home tired but full of goodies in the backpacks . Next time we’ll have to reserve another extra day. Or maybe it is time we visit the biggest fair on our planet? Maybe that time has home, eh? VIVA LAS VEGAS . Oh and one more thing! The black beauty performed extra well. As always. It would be a sin, running Autobahn without the BMW. Anyway, check the average speed and fuel consumption.¹ More pics are available within the post. Microsoft presents us with their own vision of a near future. What should our lives look in about 10 years from now? How will technology sorround us and how will we interact with our environment? Nice gadgets, new multipurpose devices on every corner and simple interconnectivity with our sorroundings. With simple usage. Interesting. The future look simple. Let’s hope one will make it untill than. Without a world’s colapse.
